The operation of a hydraulic oil in a circuit during thousands of hours at a certain temperature, in the presence of air, can lead to an important oxidation and to gum, varnish formation, which settle in the parts of the circuit where the circulation of the fluid is weak and/or at very high temperature (“hot points”).
These deposits, particularly undesirable in a modern hydraulic system (presence of a fine filtration and components with very narrow plays), are very tough and a draining followed by a filling in of new oil is not generally enough to clean sufficiently.
